Communications Officer-1 position
Under the leadership of Communications Manager, the Communications Officer will primarily be responsible for preparing the communication/media materials for varied audiences of Plan. She/ He will support the team in producing high quality communication/media materials, publications, multimedia contents, proof read and translation of key policies ensuring the global brand in each of its publications.
Term and Location: 3 years fixed term employment based in Nepal Country Office, Kathmandu
Key End Results and Typical Responsibilities:
• Develop communication related materials to various media; national and international including on line and social media tools.
•Produce creative communication contents for Plan in Nepal targeting varieties of audience at national and global, including tailored tools for Plan target groups.
• Coordinate with program teams and partners to develop communication materials
• Edit, proof and translate Plan publications/key policies targeted to varieties of audiences
• Support in bringing the program publications as per Plan's standard and brand
• Maintain and nurture the relations with various media and support in disseminating Plan messages.
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
• Bachelors Degree in Media and Communications or relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years experiences particularly in development communications/media field, especially in creating compelling messages for different targeted audiences.
• Knowledge and experiences on disaster communication is a plus
• Experience in dealing with media for reaching out development messages
• l/NGO work experience is preferred
