Vacancy at "Nepal Hydro & Electric Ltd." Butwal 2015-03-18


Nepal Hydro & Electric Limited (NHE) is a leading Company in Hydro-mechanical and Electro-mechanical equipment including HV substations, manufacturing and installation & repair for hydro & electric power sector. NHE is seeking a self-confident, dynamic and result oriented individuals for the following positions:

1. Position : Senior Purchasing Position
Number required : 1 (One)
Level : To be determined based on candidate
Qualifications and experience :
  • Bachelor's Degree in any of the Engineering disciplines or Logistics Management/Supply Chain management with more than 3 years' work experience in procurement of Engineering goods. Import/export experience and at least one year experience in International Supplies. Master Degree will be preferable.
  • Good skill in computer applications and data base (networking) system.
  • Good leadership skills, presentation, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good cost knowledge in Mechanical/Electrical Component. Knowledge in international trade and marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Good command in English language both written and spoken.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To be responsible in procurement processes and preparation of ISO Documents.
  • To assist DGMs and Managers in preparing tender/bidding documents.
  • To be responsible for implementation of logistics processes in the Company.
  • To develop and maintain smooth relationship with suppliers /vendors (both local & international).

2. Position : Mechanical Engineer/Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Number required:  Few
Level : IX /X (Nine/Ten), Will be decided according to thequalification and Experience.
Qualifications and Experience :
  • Bachelor's/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years' experience in design, repair/production and Installation of hydro-mechanical equipment in hydro-power project. Experiences in Project Management and Business Development will be an added advantage.

3. Position : Electrical Engineer
Number required : Few
Level : IX (Nine)
Qualifications and Experience :
  • Bachelors/Master in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years' experience in design, Installation, testing and commissioning of hydro power project and substation equipment. Experience in Project Management, Business Development, procurement and logistics will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities (for 2 and 3 positions)
  • Timely execution of project assigned and leads the project team by setting an example.
  • Monitor the project technically and financially.
  • Perform design, calculation and drawing respectively in mechanical and electrical engineering fields.
  • Assit to prepare tenders, quotations and proposals.
  • Negotiate with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to achieve fair deal for contracts.

4. Position : Sr. Procurement Assistant/Procurement Assistant (Re-Advertised)
Number required : 1 (One)
Level : Will be decided according to the qualification and experience
Qualifications and Experience :
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 10+2 in Management,with at least 1 year experience in procure of electrical goods. Good Knowledge in office package.

Terms:
Nature of Employment : All positions on contract basis.
Duty Station :  Head Office and works, Butwal with frequent site visit as well as stay on site when required.
Salary and other benefits :  As per Company rule.
