United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal works with the people and Government of Nepal, and other development partners to pursue equitable and sustainable human development goals through eradication of poverty, increase in livelihood opportunities, improvement in community resilience against conflict, disasters and impact of climate change, while laying down strong foundations for a society based on rule of law with an inclusive and participatory democracy.

The UNDPNepal is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for following assignment:

Job title: Senior Project Assistant
Contract type and level: Service Contract (SB 3/III)
Project/Cluster: Livelihood Recovery for Peace Project
Duty Station: Kathmandu 
Contract Duration: Up to 31 December 2015
Key responsibilities: The Senior Project Associate will report to the National Project Manager but will work closely with the Programme Officer at UNDP Country Office on a day-to-day basis to facilitate various administrative, financial, and programme implementation related operational and logistical processes.
Required qualification and experience: Completion of Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, Administration, or Human Resource Management or any other related fields. At least 5 years of work experience in administration and finance and programme. Proven ability to work with multiple partners such as the Government, I/NGOs, UN agencies, etc. Knowledge and experience of UNDP's project planning, project finance, ATLAS and project management procedures is a strong advantage. Ready to work independently, under pressure and tight deadlines.
